This talk will outline the roadmap to Plone 6, which has been published in February 2019.

Volto, a new React-based frontend for Plone has been actively developed since 2017. It is used in production since 2018 and will become the new default frontend for Plone 6.

Plone 6 will come with a completely new frontend stack, a new UI framework and theming library, folderish content types, a folderish site root element, and a new editor to build composite pages.

This talk will give insights on the latest developments of Volto and the Plone 6 PLIPs (Plone Improvement Proposals).
